Every once in awhile I come across a creator that really wows me. Someone who is a leader, doing things that I've rarely, if ever seen before and not just aping the latest craze. Ennis and Dillon on PREACHER, Chris Gosset on THE RED STAR, Ladronn on THE INHUMANS... I really don't think I'm overstating the case when I say that with his debut series, Dave Wilkins is well on his way to establishing himself as one of comics top artists and story tellers.
Not only that but he has a tremendous work ethic. This inaugural issue will not be solicited to comic shops worldwide until December 2001 (for shipping February 2002) and yet it is complete today, Issue #2 (Beta) is nearing completion and #3 (Omega) will be finished in December, well before #1 ships, guaranteeing on time shipping for all three issues!.

During WWII private European Corporations bankrolled parts of the Nazi War Effort. One company in particular was Vulkan Industries. Vulkan was the key benefactor in Hitler's pursuit of the ultimate warrior, the "Nachtgespenst" or Nightwraith, a Super Soldier with near limitless power under their command; fighting for total world domination.
Fortunately for the rest of the world, the plan failed and Germany's damages were so severe that Operation Nightwraith never saw fruition. After Germany's defeat and Hitler's apparent suicide, the remains of the Project and Vulkan seemingly vanished overnight. Some speculated that the company bankrupted itself funding Hitler's eccentricities... Such was not the case.
